My love of horses began when a teenage neighbor offered me my first ride, on the back of her horse. From my 8-year-old perspective, it seemed like the biggest horse in the world. From that moment on, I was addicted. Horses were to become a very important part of my life, although I never could have imagined, at the time, how much God would teach me about Himself and my relationship to Him through these wonderful animals. The Sonrise Stable series combines my love of God and horses in stories that I hope will help children learn more about both. I have a vision for ten initial books in the series, taking the main characters through one year. Beyond that I’ll see where God leads me. I have been blessed with three daughters and home schooled each of them through high school. I enjoy trail riding my Rocky Mountain mare, Nikki, hiking, photography, and playing guitar. I work from home as a web designer and computer programmer and enjoy the variety and flexibility that allows.

A book review by Claudean Brown~

This is the third book in the Sonrise Stables Series of four:  The book is about  a family with whom  have a great love for horses. This book will help you with your children's reading skills and also teach them godly morals and the importance of good sportsmanship. The idea of Home Schooling is being a great way of teaching their children the basics and also at the same time helping them learn more about God and his Creation.
Emily was so excited about her demonstration about Evolution at the 4-H Meeting and Rosie and Carrie knew that it was not true.
Creationism vs Evolution, this is the subject that Rosie and Carrie have to try and prove to their 4-H Club friends and to some who are not friends. They will try to prove that God is the Creator. You will be surprised how the girls got their point across to the other 4-H girls and their mothers. The belief that over a long period of time animals, such as the horses in this story evolved to be what they are today from small animals with four toes on their hind legs and three on front legs. Then they evolved through the ages to be the modern day horse that we have today.
Rosie and Carrie had the Word of God to help them with their demonstration. While Emily only had hear say that could not be proven, because there is not anyone alive now that was living when these small, three and four toed animals were susposed to have existed.

This book and the two before it would be awesome for children around eight to twelve years old. They would learn life lessons and if they have a love for horses it is ideal for them to read.

I would recommend this book for your child to read and learn about how a life with horses around you teaches you so very much about them.

Not Just A Hearer, But A DOER~ By Yolanda Shanks`

Yolanda Shanks | Not Just a Hearer but a Doer – Deliberately Living Life Devotional Study
We sit in the pews. We sing the songs. We recite Scripture–Scripture we know by heart. And yet buried in the midst of this routine are commands and requests straight from the Most High that go ignored. We’ve become so reliant on God fulfilling His end of the bargain that we fail to follow through with ours. WE’VE BECOME HEARERS. In 31 days, Yolanda Shanks’ devotional study, Not Just a Hearer but a Doer, will help you find calls to action within scripture … and then act upon them. Starting with small things, like seeing that the Lord is good and working your way up to bigger actions, such as being a bold witness for Christ, you’ll soon have the tools, desire and confidence to put scripture into practice. Just as God intended. GOD WANTS DOERS. - See more at: http://cwareviewcrew.com/not-just-a-hearer-but-a-doer-deliberately-living-life-devotional-study-by-yolanda-shanks/#sthash.n7FYhmon.dpuf About the Author: Yolanda Shanks
Multi-published author, speaker, blogger, teacher, wife, grandmother—Yolanda Shanks wears many hats, but the one she most resonates with is her role as an advocate for living life to its fullest. Shanks’ award-winning first book, Destined to Live, Despite Me, continues to be a source of hope for those battling effects from a prior suicide attempt. It garnered an enthusiastic Kirkus review, which stated the book was “a commendable guide for finding meaning after considering suicide.” Her second book, Not Just a Hearer but a Doer (released June 2012) challenges the body of Christ to act upon scripture. In the Fall of 2012, she released a third project, entitled "Destined to Live, Despite Me – A Cause to Be Thankful". - See more at: CWAReview Crew It was called Destined Yo Live, Despite Me Series"A Cause To Be Thankful Yolanda Shanks takes a daily planner design of 31 days. Each day you are taken to a portion of scripture. This book is volume number one in a series of books. I recieved the second one first due to a shortage of books available at that time.

There is A Miracle in 21~ God Completes

For anyone doubting their importance in life, author Lorieen D. Henry encourages to have faith for There Is a Miracle in 21: God Completes! In this unorthodox book, she shares the spiritual therapy she went through to get over the discontentment in her life and discover a renewed sense of purpose in Jesus Christ. There Is a Miracle in 21: God Completes! is not a ‘how-to’ book, but it is how the author got through the many challenges that life dealt her with. It is a chronicle of her seven twenty-one-day journeys over nine months, wherein she experienced the therapy over a twenty-one month period. The journey might not have been perfect, but it was necessary. God has illuminated her path and given her a better understanding of who the author is and what her role is. Her journey helped her to establish a solid foundation of faith that brought her to the next level in Jesus Christ. Heavily laced with scripture, There Is a Miracle in 21: God Completes! is more than just Henry’s journey and therapy. It is about ensuring the delivery of the message Jesus wants shared. As readers witness the author’s therapy and use this book as a twenty-one-day devotional, she hopes that they too will realize that they can make a difference right where they are in life. It was a little bit tough for me to put down this book. We need God in our lives and the author tells us how we should always put Jesus first in our lives. She shares with us that it has not always been so for her, but He hears us when we cry out to Him for help! If you want a study book for a three week span you might just want to choose this book. The writer has chosen to write about herself in her struggles in her life as being a child of the King, Jesus is his name! I loved the way she is so honest about her bad times as well as her good times in her service for the Lord. You may be surprised how the book got its name. I know that I was very surprised! I intend to pick up Lorieen's book several times in the future. I loved the way she uses the Bible Scriptures to confirm her writing in the different chapters. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book to review.
