Today Is Special:
News reports announced that Noah's Ark had been discovered by a
Chinese man from Hong Kong and a Turkish Christian team. They
seem to have pretty good evidence and pictures that the actual
Ark has been found. The news of the discovery was released to
the public on Tuesday, April 27th. We left for China to stay on
The ARK on Tuesday, April 27th.

Did I have advance knowledge that news of the discovery of The
ARK would be released that very day? Not from any human source.
I didn't hear about the discovery until I was actually aboard
The ARK in China.

According to Genesis chapter 7 verses 11-16, today is special.

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second
month, on the seventeenth day of the month - on that day all the
fountains of the great deep burst open and the floodgates of the
heavens were opened.

12 And the rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

13 On that very day Noah entered the ark, accompanied by his
sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, along with his wife and his sons'
three wives.

14 They entered, along with every living creature after its
kind, every animal after its kind, every creeping thing that
creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its
kind, everything with wings.

15 Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life came
into the ark to Noah.

16 Those that entered were male and female, just as God
commanded him. Then the LORD shut him in.

The second month of the Hebrew or Biblical calendar is the
month of Iyar. The 17th day of Iyar begins today, Friday, April
30, 2010 at sunset and ends on Saturday May 1, 2010 at sunset.
It is no coincidence that on the day the rains began and Noah
went into The ARK, for this year, the year in which The ARK was
found, that day falls on God's Holy Day. His Holy Day of Rest,
The Sabbath.

Even though Hong Kong has much to see and do, on this day I will
stay shut-in on The ARK and rest. Rest was God's first law.

This is MountainWings issue number 120 for this year.
It is the 120th day of the year.
It took Noah 120 years to build The ARK.

The unusual thing about The ARK here in Hong Kong is that most
of the people have never heard of it. It looms huge next to a
major highway bridge that passes over The ARK as it sits on the
edge of the water. There is a large billboard sized sign outside
of the busy Park Island Ferry station picturing The ARK. The
vast majority of Chinese who we mention The ARK to have never
heard of it though it looms literally under their noses.

Some things hide in plain sight.
