This recipe was promised to my friend Sherri:
Chocolate Cake-----
Begin with a Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Dark Chocolate Fudge cake mix.-----
3 Eggs-----
2 cups Applesauce or Applebutter (I use one cup each)
The applesauce/applebutter replaces the cooking oil!
1/3 cup water-----
1/2 Container of German Chocolate Icing (fold into batter)-----
Bake in a 13/9 inch buttered cake pan. It will need to bake longer than the box recommends. Test the cake with a toothpick,,,if still doughy bake longer.
While cake is still warm spread the rest of the icing on top.
