The Moment We Pray

The Moment We Pray

Today’s Verse: “My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help” (Psalm 56:9, NLT).

Today’s Word:

Are you believing for God to do something in your life today? I want to encourage you because God is already working behind the scenes on your behalf! Just because you don’t see anything happening, doesn’t mean that God isn’t working. The moment we pray, God sets the miracle into motion. The thing we have to remember is that God doesn’t say, “I’ll deliver you in one hour, or next week, or Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.” No, He doesn’t put a time frame on it. That’s where trust comes in. We have to know that our enemies retreat as soon as we call on Him for help. We have to choose to go back to the place of peace knowing that He is working things out.

Today, shake off the temptation to get discouraged during the waiting process. Shake off offense, shake off discouragement. Remember, all it takes is one touch of God’s favor to take you years ahead. Keep standing, keep believing, keep hoping because the answer is on its way the moment we pray!

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, thank You for hearing me the moment I pray. Today I choose to trust that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf no matter what I see in the natural. I will praise You today and always because You are faithful. I love You and bless You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

What is the cost?

What is the cost?
=================

A thought came to me the other day. The more I thought about
it, the more serious and thought provoking it became.

Just imagine if you had to pay for the blessings you depend on
for your daily survival or if there were in the hands of some
human being.

1. The breath of life (one intake of air).
Think about it, your air supply tank on your back, it is
running low, so you pull up to the refill station money in
hand and the attendant tells you - I am through for the day.
Or you see a sign that says close for stocktaking, or closed
for repairs comeback next week. Or they are on a nationwide
strike because they feel unappreciated for the work they do
and are not getting enough pay.

BIG WOW.

Then the thought extended to other areas.
2. A good night sleep
3. Happiness
4. Peace of mind
5. Appetite
6. Digestion
7. To eliminate
8. The functioning of your endocrine glands
9. To be able to see, hear, smell, touch, taste.
(The five senses)
10. The value of good friends
11. The ease with which we can call on our heavenly Father
12. The ability through Him to stay calm in times of trouble.

The list is endless, I am sure you can think of more yourself.
Try it.

DEANIES THOUGHTS~

2 Chronicles 7:14 summarizes God’s call through the prophets: "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Deanies Thoughts: This scripture is for us today too!

Also Micah 6:8

Micah 6:8 (NIV) He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Over my many years of following Jesus, I have heard this same question asked, time and time again, ‘What does the Lord require of me? Lord how would you have me live, or what would you have me do?’
It is very interesting to note that God said in Hosea 6:6 (NIV) For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgement of God rather than burnt offerings. To have love, mercy and compassion in your heart, towards one another is better, than just go through the motions of having religious ceremonies and routines without any heart felt meaning. Is it possible that we can simply go through the motions of being a Christian, without making any difference in the world or to those around us, because we do not have one ounce of compassion or mercy towards our fellow human being? Have we become like Jonah, a reluctant preacher who did not want any converts, but wanted them to get what they had deserved. God does not want us to walk with a self righteous attitude, nor be pretentious, pompous and pious, a people who look down their noises at the unsaved without love or mercy.
A people who are so full of their own self importance, elevated to be come legends in their own mind; these people are not legends but rather leg-ends, who have become so vain and self conceited. Wrapped up in themselves rather than in Jesus.

God has showed us what is good through His Son Jesus; He is our perfect example of how to love one another in God, how to love the sinner and saint a like, and how to act towards them and do good unto them in His name. He has called us to act justly without prejudice, to treat all men equal; to love mercy rather than sacrifice; to be merciful to each other, to forgive each other, just as in Christ God for gave us.
And walk with humility before our Lord, to serve Him with a humble heart, to love Him with everything that we have.

My friend, what does that Lord require of us? It is not to be Christ like in our walk and show mercy compassion and love towards all? To live in Him with a humble heart ready to say at any given moment, ‘Here I am Lord, wholly available, as for me I will serve you Lord.’ To act justly, to love mercy and walk humbly before the Lord; this is what sets you apart for everyone else, who would want to do the opposite. To live for Jesus; challenges us to radically change our lifestyle, to live differently from everyone else; to live with a merciful attitude, loving the lost, seeking to win souls, to make disciples of those who chose to follow the Lord, and walk humbly before the Lord, this is what the world needs. To do what is good, to be a imitator or of Jesus of whom it is said of in Acts 10:38 (NIV) He went about doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil because God was with Him.
People loved Jesus, because he was never pretentious or pompous or pious, but He was real in His relationship with God, and through it He acted justly, He loved mercy and walked humbly before God. Let us do like wise.

The First Parent

The First Parent "This is a laugh"
=================

To those of us who have children in our lives, whether they are
our own, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, or whatever....
here is something to make you laugh. (Remember, this is a laugh!)

Whenever your children are out of control, you can take comfort
from the thought that even God's omnipotence did not extend to
His own children. After creating heaven and earth, God created
Adam and Eve (his children).

The first thing he said was, "Don't!"

"Don't what?" Adam replied.

"Don't eat the forbidden fruit," God said.

"Forbidden fruit? We have forbidden fruit?
Hey, Eve. . . we have forbidden fruit!" "No way!" "Yes, way!"

"Do NOT eat the fruit!" said God.
"Why?"
"Because I am your Father and I said so!" God replied,
(wondering why he hadn't stopped creation after elephants).

A few minutes later, God saw His children having an apple break
and was He ticked!

"Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit?" our first parent, God, asked.

"Uh huh," Adam replied.
"Then why did you?" said the Father.
"I don't know," said Eve.
"She started it!" Adam said,
"Did not!" "Did too!" "DID NOT!
Having had it with the two of them, God's punishment was that
Adam and Eve should have children of their own.
Thus, the pattern was set and it has never changed!

But there is assurance in this story.
If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children
wisdom and they haven't taken it, don't be hard on yourself.

If God had trouble raising children, what makes you think it
would be a piece of cake for you?

Advice for the day:
If you have a lot of tension and you get a headache, do what it
says on the aspirin bottle:
"Take two Aspirin" and "Keep away from children."

You spend the first 2 years of their life teaching them to walk
and talk. Then you spend the next 16 years telling them to sit
down and shut-up.

Grandchildren are God's reward to you for not killing your children.

Mothers of teens know why some animals eat their young.

Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word
for word what you shouldn't have said.

The main purpose of holding children's parties is to remind
yourself that there are children more awful than your own.

We child proofed our home 3 years ago and they're still getting in!

Be nice to your kids.
Someday, they'll choose your nursing home.

Psalm 66:3 niv

Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.
