Don't Miss The Boat

Don't Miss The Boat

I'm in Hong Kong now.

I'm at Noah's Ark.

Each year, my brothers and I take a trip. There are five
brothers and we rotate who picks what we do and where we go
each year. This year is my year and I wanted to go to Hong Kong.

It's nearly a 20 hour flight from Atlanta but wherever we pick,
the other brothers have to go without complaint. That's our
deal and it's worked great so far.

I wanted to come to Hong Kong because Hong Kong has the only
full-sized Ark in the world. There is one in the Netherlands
but it's only a fraction of the size of the one in Hong Kong.

There is actually a hotel in The ARK and that's where we are
staying. We are here now because I wanted to be in The ARK on
the Biblical day that Noah actually entered The ARK.

Hong Kong is 12 hours time difference from Eastern Time. When
it's 10AM in Atlanta, it's 10PM in Hong Kong. We got here
tonight after midnight. It was an awe inspiring sight to see
this HUGE Ark looming on the horizon as we drove up.

I can imagine it would be even more awe inspiring if you were
standing outside and you'd been listening to who you thought
was a crazy man talking about rain, floods and salvation in The
ARK. Then it started to rain after never having rained before
in history. Yep, that would be pretty awe inspiring and scary
at the same time because as the drops pelted your face with
ever increasing intensity, perhaps you'd begin to realize that
you'd missed the boat and Noah wasn't so crazy.

An annual trip is a good idea too, no matter where you go.
You will be surprised at what it does for family relations and
brother or sister relations.

I'm going to sleep now.

Safely in The ARK.
