Calhoun Baptist Church News July 15, 2012~
Brother Terry Barrow welcomed the Congregation and shared up-coming events. We celebrated one birthday by singing the “Happy Birthday” song this Sunday for her as we do for everyone who wishes to share their blessing. The Contemporary Praise song was very encouraging, it was about Bringing the Rain! It meant the Healing Rain of the Holy Spirit. We do ne...ed to pray for the moisture kind that comes down from the sky and thank Him everyday for his blessings!
Brother George Quillin brought the message this morning from 1st. Corinthians Chapter. 15: 1-4. Here you will the find the foundation for our faith. If God had not inspired people to write the Bible, God’s Holy Word, we would not have found Jesus as our Savior. We would not have the knowledge of God’s son, who He sent to take our place on the cross where He conquered death and is now sitting on the right hand of God.
By this gospel we are saved if we hold firmly to the good news passed on to us as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
We had the Water Baptism today where almost a whole family showed their faith in Jesus by Baptism. It says in Matthew 28:18 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
God is truly with us!

Sunday Evening Bible Study 6:00 P.M.
Youth Group, R.A.'s & G.A.'s Wednesdays at 7 P.M.
We are located 3 blocks off 52 on V Highway
