.Love Forgives---

Great marriages are not created by people that never hurt each other, only by people who choose to keep "no record of wrongs"(1 Corinthians 13:5).

That is the reason here that I could not think of anything that I could forgive my spouse for at this this point in time.
I would not be honest with you or myself if I said that I have never been hurt by my spouse in any way through our very long relationship. I beleave that if you live your life as a Christian that applies the Beautitudes to your everyday living, it will help us to forgive others, including our spouses.
You will find them in the Gospel of St. Matthew 5:3-10, the first book of the New Testament.

Also, most of all the first and greatest commandment is about love.
When Jesus was asked, "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" he replied, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind' - this is the great and foremost commandment, and there is a second like it, 'You shall love your neighbour as yourself'. The whole Law and Prophets hang on these two commands." (Mtt 22:37-40, Mrk 12:28-34).

THE EIGHT BEATITUDES OF JESUS

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
